Quincy is a historic city in Norfolk County, Massachusetts, located just south of Boston along the shores of Quincy Bay. Known as the “City of Presidents,” it offers urban amenities, coastal scenery, and easy access via the MBTA Red Line.

History

Incorporated in 1792, Quincy is the birthplace of John Adams and John Quincy Adams, the second and sixth U.S. presidents. The city thrived through granite quarrying, shipbuilding, and industry during the 19th century, shaping much of Boston’s architecture and economy.
